The NHS and Public Health England (PHE) are extremely well prepared for outbreaks of new infectious diseases. The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of all patients and NHS staff while also ensuring services are available to the public as normal.

The risk to the general public is moderate. If you have arrived back to the UK from any of the countries below, follow the specific advice for returning travelers. Detailed advice for returning travelers is available on gov.uk.

 

Call 111 now if you've been:

  • to Hubei province in China in the last 14 days or Iran, areas of northern Italy in lockdown or "special care zone" areas in South Korea since 19 February (even if you do not have symptoms) detailed maps are available on gov.uk
  • to other parts of mainland China or South Korea, Thailand, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia or Macau in the last 14 days and have a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath
  • to other parts of northern Italy (anywhere north of Pisa, Florence and Rimini), Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos or Myanmar since 19 February and have a cough, high temperature or shortness of breath
  • in close contact with someone with confirmed coronavirus

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Call 111, stay indoors and avoid close contact with other people.

Bawtry and Blyth Medical

We are looking to expand our reception team and require an experienced medical receptionist for 20 hours per week. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, hardworking, organised, self-motivated, be able to work in a fast paced environment, excellent communicator to provide high standards of care to our patients. The post also requires you to be flexible enough to provide relief cover for the holidays or sickness leave of reception colleagues when necessary.

IT skills are an essential part of the role. Full training will be provided for the use of our clinical system.  The successful applicant will also be dispensing medication, with full training included including an NVQ Level 2 in dispensing after 6 months.

We are a small but busy practice based on two sites. We are a friendly team who work well together and support each other. We are a forward thinking practice and are a GP training part of the Larwood and Bawtry Primary Care Network. We support all staff to train in subjects relevant to their post or to advance into a different role should this meet the practice business need.

Initial Advertisement for a Salaried G.P. with a View to Partnership

We are a small, friendly practice in the beautiful market town of Bawtry with a small branch surgery in the historic village of Blyth. We have an excellent reception team and very high patient satisfaction rates. We are part of the pioneering Larwood and Bawtry PCN.

The surgery is looking for an enthusiastic, caring G.P. for 4-8 sessions per week who is welcome to bring their special interests to the practice.

Working hours are negotiable. Initial consultations are via telephone with 14 slots am and 12 pm. Home visits are usually undertaken by paramedics. We use SystmOne for which training is available. An evening surgery on Tuesdays is undertaken by the partners. We have a primary care physio and social prescriber. We are a dispensing practice on both sites. We have very high QOF achievements and are rated good by the CQC.
